Ascent Trip ReportWent up the scrambling route to the true summit of Heart Mountain, continued on the ridge line towards the Two Towers in hopes of finding a connection. We were stopped by a significant notch in the ridge which would have required some rock climbing or rappel. Not having a rope with us, Brad and I decided to bail, at this point...but not before spending about 1 hr exploring alternate route options.
We continued via the 'horseshoe' and thus descended via the other ridge of Heart. With the hike out along the hydro line, it ended up being a fairly big day, some 6 hrs 20 minutes, including the scrambling around on the aforementioned ridge. A fun day and I learned a thing or two about this area.
