Ascent Trip Report

A small but very rewarding hike and scramble in unseasonably snowy conditions. We woke up to 10 cm of fresh snow at the Miette Hot Springs that morning. Morro Peak (that's the correct spelling, not Morrow) was the back-up plan, considering the snow cover, as the conditions were not safe to attempt Roche Miette.
- Trail follows the west ridge, mostly right on the crest, good views of Athabasca valley below
-There is a short scrambling section as one rounds the corner to the summit plateau.

The snow made our ascent and descent more challenging, otherwise this would be a fairly routine outing, by Jasper standards.
