Ascent of Eldorado Peak on 2017-07-09
|Date:||Sunday, July 9, 2017|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||8868 ft / 2702 m|
Ascent Trip ReportFantastic trip. Beautiful area. Forested approach trail was annoying. Boulder field wasn't nearly as bad as I had anticipated. Slabby scrambley drop off the ridge was probably the crux. Glacier was in good shape. Knife edge was well beaten in and mellow. Eggplant was a nice side excursion. Camped near the rocks about 7500. Found running water. Went with Adam, Brandon, Jason, Jackie, Katie, Megan, Nick, and Sarah.
