Ascent Trip Report

With Eva.
One of the great days in the mountains. Started from the trailhead car park on Forest Rd 17. Gentle hike to the largest of Deadfall lakes before the climbing begins in earnest on the Mt Eddy trail. A swim in the lake looked very tempting but we passed on what was a hot day!
The trail to the summit was excellent with the switchbacks meaning the grade was never too steep.
The effort of reaching the top is rewarded with one of the finest summit vistas with Mount Shasta dominating.
Eventually dragged ourselves from the summit after writing in the summit book and taking the necessary photos, reversed route to return to car. 10/10!
