Ascent Trip Report

Very little snow in the forest getting to Summerland (crazy how things melted out so quickly within a month!) We made good timing, arrived at Meany Crest campsite in 5 hours. We roped up there crossing the Fryingpan Glacier shooting for a notch, just south side of Whitman Crest for camp at 9,000'. We arrived at 5pm. Lots of ice worms all over that glacier. We got up around 4:30, but we didn't start moving until 5:45ish? Got to the summit at 10:42. Two bigger crevasses on the Whitman on the higher steeper slope, and there are some smaller cracks at the lower section. We gained a bit more elevation gain than most other climbers due to our approach with where we camp.
