Ascent Trip ReportStarted off at the Creeksyde Holiday Park (very nice park) walked to the Skyline Gondola and took the Tiki Trail to the Ben Lomond track. Since it was rather late in the season (wintertime) the plan was only to go to the saddle. The trail to the saddle was fairly reasonable, little bit of snow and ice. Once at the saddle, the sign said only another hour to summit and the weather was unseasonably warm, so I went ahead and summitted. Visibility was poor but the trail was easy to follow and not a whole lot of snow on the top. Rested at the marker and came back down via the gondola. Nice scenic hike, not too many people. |
