Ascent Trip Report

Horse Hill Road ends at a large gravel turnaround to a broken gated open continuance, with the road's immediate flanks posted and the road itself signed beyond gate as NY Property, Secondary 80B, my impression was of a snowmobile trail which reaches out to Black Swamp (Hunting) Camp and beyond; my search for an upward trending path led me to backtrack from Black Swamp finally following a bushwhack of old overgrown logging roads and open woods the easier going up to a logged summit in a sea of thick, tall fern; on descending, I crossed and chose to follow an old eroded road going southwest circling around in its lower reaches (now among many crossing roads) to junction with gate, Secondary 80B and gravel turnaround start.
