Ascent Trip Report

Pretty easy. Take the long road towards Wynoochie Lake. Then right to Satsop Station. Then South on 2270 (?) up Spoon Creek for a bit and then onto the road that kind of circles around the W ridge of the peak. There's a gate just short of 2758' that was locked. No other gates en route. The road is generally passable in a car but there is side brush that will contact your car. It's more soft lush brush than like a slide alder so no worries. Also there were a few narrow spots in the road with like little rocks to go around where the width pushes you pretty close to the road edge with major you-will-die dropoffs. Drive carefully. Gate was locked. only gate en route. I did the 3152 peak first and the road was good until just E of the peak. Went a little past it and then switchbacked up through moderate type brush. No real issue but unpleasant. Fairly pronounced open summit. Back down and to the junction...which I then realized I did not remember. And as I got there, I saw why, it was way overgrown. Hiked the road for a while until I'd circled nearly due S of the peak and then just went up. It was obviously the forest was less brushy than the road and while steeper was way more efficient travel. Pretty simple route up with a moderate grade. again, summit was fairly clear and you could see the road coming in. Hiked back down directly. I generally found the path of least resistance on the terrain pushed me further NW than my original W course. No real issues. Drove out without anything interesting. Hot hot hot day.

GPS is the drive out which I guess at least shows you how i got there and where I parked. Didn't track the hike itself.
