Ascent Trip ReportStarting at the Eagle River Nature Center, head out 4 miles to the perch. From there its another quarter mile to the turnoff point which is marked by a boulder on the right hand side, although its easy to miss. On the way out we cut up to early and ended up doing a few hundred yards of bushwacking before picking up the trail. It's easy to loose the trail at first but is surprisingly good as you get higher. It pops out of the trees at around 3000 feet. From there stick to the left of the rock glacier and go further into the valley to the base of Korohusk. Follow the obvious gully up the southface. About halfway up there is a waterfall. Turn slightly right just past it and onto the rock outcroppings that connect the lower and upper gullies. Follow the gully to the ridge and then turn right and climb another 200' to the summit. About 14.5 miles, 7300' of ascent and 13 hours round trip. One of my favorite hikes so far in Chugach State Park.
