Ascent Trip Report

Hiked with the John Strauch Friday group. Started at the Torrey Pines Glider Port. Headed south along the beach to Scripts Pier, then turned around and headed north. Went up the old road to La Jolla Farms and picked up the Ho Chi Minh trail. Followed a trail crossing the drainage east of Ball Benchmark ridge and followed the ridge to the BM. After this I went off solo along the beach heading north to Flat Rock and then hiked up trail to Red Butte. Then followed old highway 101 etc. back to my vehicle at the glider port. About a nine mile day with approximately 1200 ft. of elevation gain. A nice hike along some beautiful stretches of beach.
