Ascent Trip ReportThis trek kicked the crap outta me. I tagged along with a buddy of mine (Moore) and a buddy of his (Renfro.) Moore was the fit guy bouncin up the mountain like it was nothin. Renfro and I huffed and puffed the entire way up. I was definitely not ready for the altitude adjustment. Felt like someone was sitting on my chest all weekend. I brought up the rear on the way up. But did better on the way down. The feeling of just getting to the top was amazing. On our way down we lost the trail at the tree line (it was still covered in snow.) We were able to reconnect to the trail after about 20 minutes of crashing through the woods. This was definitely a gratifying hike as it was my highest so far.
