Ascent Trip ReportEric Waag must have jumped the fence. Now that my heart was nearly back to normal beats I wanted one more top to tag but a short climb in case I had more issues with my pulse and this looked like and easy tag and bag. But it is not. I parked near the intersection in the only turn out I could find that did not say NO PARKING. I headed up the easy Mule Deer trail until it deviated away from this small peak. I then headed up hill towards the peak. But I ran into signs and fences saying do not enter; private property; oddly it is another one of those "wildlife" places where the public is not invited. I respect that they do not want people in all places so that wildlife can have refuge but I wish the state would recognize that peakabggers are not hunting - just give us one way up and down and we will stay off of everything else! But bottom line is - I respected the request to not enter and turned back. |
