Ascent Trip ReportIt's a straightforward drive from the town of Eureka. I made it all the way to the summit easily in a Subaru Forester. Windfall Canyon Road is very good, and no vehicle will have issues. Rocky Canyon Road, which goes up the canyon and switchbacks up to the peaks is rougher. Clearance is necessary, and it is rocky in a few places though. I did encounter one snow drift just below the summit but was able to drive through it. I would avoid driving on Rocky Canyon Road when it is wet as much of the roadbed is clay. I encountered a section where a vehicle must have got stuck earlier in the year but was able to sink branches into the mud to get traction.
