Ascent Trip Report

This hike was originally planned for the next day but since I completed Camel's Hump so quickly I figured I could squeeze this hike into the same day. After finishing breakfast at Timbers Restaurant I drove to Lincoln Gap to begin the hike. Even though I was trying to pace myself because I knew this was a decently long hike to add onto my morning hike I still arrived at the summit rather quickly. Along the trail was a moss covered forest that was nice scenery. There were around 10-12 people on the summit when I arrived. Again there was a beautiful sprawling view from the summit. I took a 10 minute break and had a snack before continuing onto Mt Ellen. When I got back to the summit from My Ellen I took another 10 minute break for a snack and to take in the view. This time there were less people on the summit. After my break I charged hard back to the trailhead, running about 3/4 of the way. A great finish to a great day. From here I headed to the Mad Taco for dinner and then onto Killington where I camped for the night.
