Ascent Trip ReportBecca and I decided to have a relaxing weekend in Big Bear for the long weekend, so we selected some of the nicer HPS peaks near the lake that we still needed for some shorter hikes. First up was Butler Pk. The fire tower on the summit is manned by volunteers on the weekend in the summer. We spent quite a long time up there with them just chatting about hiking, peaks, fires, and all of that. I am glad that the gate is locked to vehicles so that only hikers can come up here and see the fire tower! Pics |
