Ascent Trip ReportWe followed Blue Rock Canyon as Eric Kassan did after getting stopped by a steep hill on the route up Haggerty Wash. The route in Blue Rock Canyon is not that rough, but is narrow. My Tacoma made it without much scraping on sagebrush, but a full-sized truck will have a lot of scrapes. The wash crossing he mentions is not a problem. The hike is fine and goes well. It is a nice peak once you get to the starting point at spot elevation 8155. We drove out via Haggerty Wash. The road goes around several ranch properties and much of it is not shown on the topo map. I have a mileage log on that route which is a lot shorter in case you want to try it. There is one quite steep hill where low-range 4WD is a must. If you get up that you have it made.
