Ascent Trip ReportGot to parking area along Corral Cyn Rd: it took 12 minutes to get to trailhead from Buckman Springs Rd. Great condition of mostly pavement and very doable with 2W drive. Started hike at 0926. Hiked via Espinosa Trail and Los Pinos Fire Rd. Arrived at summit at 1044 - 1054 hr. Back down at car park by 1204 hr. Warm to hot with a lot of bugs. On the way back along Buckman Springs Rd. came across a number of people dressed like Middles Easterners followed by a slow moving van: Navy Seals role playing is my best guess as they have a training site along that road. They were friendly and waved!:) |
