Ascent Trip Report

From Devil's Anvil we followed the trail back to the very 1st T and turned right. This trail went around the northside of the mountain and following Keith Winston GPS we turned right onto a use trail. About 150 ft up the trail is a 3ft long wood bridge, another 100 feet is a split. The main trail goes left but this leads to a homeless encampment. The lesser trail to the right goes to the summit. Near the end it get steep and a ton of poison oak (so long sleeves and long pants). The trail ended at a big slab. We turned left and after about 60 ft squeezed thru a crack in the rocks heading south. Up some more and around another slab to the big block summit. If your a rock climber bring a 50ft rope. There are 2 steel bars drilled into the block's north side near the top. We went around to the south side and climbed up a crack to the BM. There is also a cement foundation on the top. Side note:if your just going to climb Bottle Peak and not the others, a shorter route than ours would be to park in a pull-out on Oakvale rd across from the trail head. This way is only about a third of a mile to the use trail.
