Ascent Trip Report

Mountaineers scramble trip led by Andy Boos. Started out in rain on trail that eventually turned to drizzle. We crossed two streams via logs (rain had stopped). About the time the rain stopped we left trail to scramble up open terrain of vegetation and loose rock to ridge. We didn't hit snow until ridge. One area on ridge required minor rock scramble, otherwise used ice ax to traverse snow. A few spots had exposure. Just as we arrived at the summit it hailed for about 5 minutes. Short time on summit and then we headed back down ridge and then plunged stepped down snow to avoid the loose rock. We eventually met the trail and crossed the streams and arrived back to TH.
