Ascent Trip ReportGreat hike, stunning views from the summit of Alouette Lake, Blanchard Needle and Mount Baker in the distance. Crampons weren't strictly necessary, but were definitely helpful, especially on the descent - the last section before the summit is a steep scramble. 2 people in our group used microspikes, while one guy did without any extra traction. We only met one other party on the mountain during our midweek hike.
