Ascent Trip ReportI approached from the west, and it turns out that there is a winter gate that was still locked just past the little cabin community. I parked there are realized that I was close enough to make this a reasonable hike by going cross country. The terrain is pretty easy and fairly open. I hoped over a few logs but no brush bashing. Once I reached the forest road to the summit, it became very easy. No snow at all was encountered, and none could be seen on any of the surrounding peaks. In fact, the road was quite dry except for in one area. A storm that night would, however, dump 4-6in of snow, so I guess I can understand why the gate was still locked.
