Ascent Trip ReportWent out here on a Monday afternoon after nearby work on a whim. Knocked at the front door and wandered around the buildings looking for someone. Left a nice note explaining my mission and asking permission, then explored up the dirt road in my little volkswagen. I went up about half a mile and parked. You could totally drive almost the entire way in most vehicles but I took it easy since I was alone and driving a new car. Walked the road the rest of the way and roughly followed Greg Slayden's gps tracks to the summit. No sign of a register or anything so I just gridded the area to ensure I tagged the HP and took a few photos.
This is my 11th WA Co. high point.
Saw a rattlesnake and multiple badger dens. One was even big enough to be a coyote den. Watch your footing and be careful!
Hopefully the landowner calls me and I can pass their number along to others.
