Ascent Trip Report

A sunny day, around 82 degrees, and much more humid than expected. Amazingly, I had the mountain to myself. The streams were all high, and the mosquitoes & black flies were abundant. The trails have not been used much yet to date (heavy leaf cover), and there were many muddy/slippery spots. The sky was blue, and the views from the top of the Warwick Fire Tower were spectacular. No real breeze all day, but it was very windy at the top of the tower! A great hike.

Note: for any beginners, there is a long decline at the beginning of the hike, so be prepared to end your return hike with an ascent. I usually bring 2 bottles of water. Three would definitely be better. Also, there is some cool 'ancient' ski lift machinery about halfway through the hike.
