Ascent Trip Report

Trail Head overgrown and difficult to find. Parked less than a mile north of the Aliso Canyon intersection on Angeles Forest Highway in a shallow turn out on the east side. Headed North and crossed a ravine and bushwacked up through the canyon until we spotted one of a few use trails which took us up the intersection of a fire road and the ridge line. We turned right to follow the ridge line trail up and over 2 bumps to the final ridge line to the summit. Pretty easy to follow but fairly steep and loose in places. It was hot and there were lots of bugs and took much longer than we thought it would. Saw only one other hiker (on our way down) who was winded and shared our sentiments! Lots of gunfire from the nearby gun range. Register located under a rusty metal sign post in a mound of rocks locating the peak.
