Ascent Trip ReportWe've been section hiking the PCT on the weekends and this was a bonus hike for us. We followed James Barlow's route from Rodriguez Road after already hiking 9 miles from Sunrise Trailhead. We got our butts kicked on this one. I wouldn't call it a stroll by any means. This is a long arduous hike with multiple false peaks. Wear long pants! There were vast areas of spear grass that will do considerable damage to your boots and socks. The 360 view from the top is incredible. You won't forget this mountain anytime soon!
