Ascent Trip Report Made the drive down to Brasstown Bald after finishing Clingman’s Dome (about 2.5 hours). I reached the visitor center at 1:00PM, and since I was with my wife and kinda sore from the Climgman’s Dome hike, we opted to take the shuttle to the top. The park has an extensive facility at the summit, including a museum and a theater. I asked about the US Geological Survey Marker and behind a locked for I was presented with a pristine Tennessee Valley Authority Survey Marker. US Highest Point #13
