Ascent Trip ReportIn all the trip reports prior to this one, no one mentions the plethora of No Trespassing signs as you're driving on Tower Rd. Maybe people don't care enough to mention them, or maybe they're new. And of course in the place where everyone says you should park, there's a No Parking sign. It was just after 8am on a Sunday so I assumed no one was really going to be coming by here anyway. I tucked my car in the corner and headed up. I fought through the thick brush just before the top as everyone else did. As I walked around the summit area, I surprised a herd of deer. The summit was a nice area, but all those No Trespassing signs had me spooked, so I quickly started to make my way down. Half-way down, I realized I had dropped my GPS. I backtracked and was able to find it. I made it back to the car and started driving off. About 2 minutes after I pulled out, a pick-up truck was coming in. "That was close" I thought. |
