Ascent Trip ReportWe took a direct route from the cars and found a trail that made the steepest sections somewhat less difficult. Still, we decided to try Scott Peavy's route (more-or-less) on the way down, but it was no better, and maybe a tad worse. The slope up to the final ridge (from about 6,600' to about 6,900') looks like bad bushwhacking from a distance but is just tree-dodging. The short ridge walk at the very top has the worst bushwhacking of the hike, but it's not that much, and not too bad. We couldn't find a register, so we placed one. |
