Ascent Trip ReportThis one is in the same neck of the woods of the Oklahoma state highpoint Black Mesa and can be a quick add on to the state highpoint if you have the time. There is no postings from the road when you start out on this hike and I approached it from the west. There are two cliff bands to contend with and the first is easier than the second. On the first cliff band I angled onto the southwest side finding steps left of a tree that gives very easy access, although there are many other options there. For the second cliff band I went around to the northwest side and found a little slot to pull myself up onto the top. Looking around all sides of the top it seems the easiest way to access the final cliff band. |
