Ascent of Fort Mountain on 2017-03-20Other People: | Solo Ascent Only Party on Mountain | Date: | Monday, March 20, 2017 | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | Peak: | Fort Mountain | Location: | USA-New Hampshire | Elevation: | 1413 ft / 430 m |
Ascent Trip ReportI jogged up the tower road to the summit. It was nice to see a "hikers welcome" sign by the gate. They plow the road in the winter, so don't expect to go for a rip down on a sled like I did. Recent evidence of multiple hikers and one mountain bike. Great view from the top. And they even left the summit intact, which is about 100 feet from the tower. |
