Ascent of Toano Range High Point on 2017-03-15
|Date:||Wednesday, March 15, 2017|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
|Peak:||Toano Range High Point|
| Elevation:||8037 ft / 2449 m|
Ascent Trip ReportBeautiful area, though the actual hiking is of low quality. The summit view is pretty great. Everyone who hikes up here should make a point of hiking through the pinnacle boulders at the mountain's base, visible almost directly below the summit from the 'T' junction. It is also worth noting that 2WD vehicles should not necessarily expect to make it all the way to the 'T' this time of year- the final 100 yards or so were fairly wet and I had to make a narrow turnaround and park a little lower.
