Ascent of Ghost Mountain on 2017-03-07
|Date:||Tuesday, March 7, 2017|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||3400 ft / 1036 m|
Ascent Trip ReportI followed the usual route - to the Yaquitepec site, then boulder-hopping to the summit. Yes, there are about 4 false summits, but the real one has a big rounded boulder so it's obvious once you see it from a distance. It's an easy scramble to get on top this boulder.
Rocks along ridge are granite and set solid, close enough to hop from one to the other for hundreds of feet at a time. On the rare occasion I needed to step onto dirt, the going was easy except for the occasional thick agave.
