Ascent Trip ReportThis was an easy hike on the morning of 2/22/2017. I rode the early Kosciuszko Express chair lift up to the Eagles Nest and began my hike from there. It's 4 miles to the summit on rocky rolling terrain. This time of year there were lots of wildflowers and they slowed my down because I had to stop and take pictures. Some were completely unfamiliar and others resembled wildflowers that I see in Colorado. I reached the summit at 11:35 AM about 2 hours and 15 minutes after I had started. There were a few groups hiking as well as a few couples. The weather was great except for a strong wind of about 30 MPH. After reaching the summit and spending about 40 minutes up there, I hiked back to the Eagles Nest for a slightly late lunch. The food was very good and it felt great to get out of the wind. The lift was still running despite the strong wind so I got on and rode it back down to Thredbo Village. I was back at the hotel by 3:30 PM. Fun, fun FUN!!!
