Ascent Trip Report

Route used to hike summit Slaughter Mt-North Summit., From Vogel State Park we took Coosa Backcountry Trail to Slaughter Mt.-North summit. Trail crosses the summit.

Hiked to summit of Slaughter Mt North and camped overnight on the summit. Beautiful crystal clear sunset. Breezy and cold. Hike to summit was difficult. Woke up to 24'F temperature with ice covering the vegetation and tent. Visibility was approx 15 meters or less due to low clouds.
