Ascent Trip Report

Simply a reward on our backpacking trip after a long day and getting a needed bath in the Snake River (which was most challenging since the water was either freezing or boiling hot depending on the current shifting an inch at any momment) and then scrambling up a very steep animal trail up the north bank of the Snake River to get great views of the river and surrounding mountains including Huckleberry Ridge to the south) Lots of game. Steep cliff where the river had cut the north bank. Found high point on north bank and headed back to camp.

BM on USGS map for the "Snake Hot Springs" in the river was the site of our campsite where we started this brief dayhike destination
