Ascent of Kino Peak on 2017-01-25
|Date:||Wednesday, January 25, 2017|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Motorized Transport to Trailhead:||Car|
| Elevation:||3197 ft / 974 m|
Ascent Trip ReportSignificant evidence of human traffic through the main corridor to the peak. Tire tracks from atvs, foot prints, discarded clothing, food rubbish, black water bottles, and something new, a kind of shoe cover that would not leave footprints. And those we found nearly all the way to the summit. Creepy. All three of us got stabbed multiple times by the excessive amounts of cactus on the route. The mountain was still very wet from recent heavy rain storms, so what was loose and treacherous was even more so. Still, an excellent climb.
