Ascent Trip ReportStarted at the Marcy Field parking lot at 10am. The trail was icy the entire way but micros worked pretty well. A couple places full crampons would have been better but since we had poles too we managed well. The trail to the top is about 2.3 miles however the ascent is about 1900'. Most all of that takes place from .5 miles in to about 2.1 miles. This is a steep little mountain that will give you a nice leg burn and get your heart bumping. The summit is unique with a 8' boulder sitting as its summit on and otherwise flat summit. Very cool. Enjoy the hike and the nice views from this little but challenging summit.
