Ascent Trip Report

Hiked up the Old Path to the Doublehead saddle. the Snow was quite frozen, and we needed spikes the entire hike. We passed 6 hikers on the way up, most of whom had brought sleds, just as we did, for the descent on the Ski trail. The Views from South Doublehead were great. A big snowstorm was looming behind Montalban Ridge. Back down to the Saddle, we passed two more men on their way up. Once at the Cabin, we got out the GoPros and started down the ski trail. It was quite a rough ride, and in a few places, the ice was bad enough to force us off the trail, but it was a great ride nonetheless. We saw 5 more hikers on their way up.
