Ascent Trip Report

Honestly, we just hiked up FR 379 the whole way, but it was a beast because of the snow on the ground. Because we were able to hitch a ride part of the way up (after the creek crossing that our Subaru couldn't comfortably make), our ascent was about 3.5-4, and the descent was around 7 miles. About 10.5 miles total which is definitely respectable for a winter ascent after a night at a dab bar getting faded and subsequently smashing four donuts at 245am. Certainly a great way to usher in 2017, and the views of Rosa, Cameron Cone, Pikes, and the San de Cristos to the SW were ultra fantastic.
