Ascent Trip ReportI parked on the side of Firetower Road, near the entrance sign of Morrow Mountain State Forest. Mack Road runs through the state forest and up the mountain is on a snowmobile trail and has seen a lot of use so it was hard packed snow all the way up. There was also a snowshoe trail alongside the snowmobile trail although I left the snowshoes in the car.
The road meanders up the hill to the summit where there is a tower. In winter there are some views through the trees to the North. The road has woods on both sides with one section in the middle which is pine.
I left the car at 7:10 am and got to the summit at 7:30 am. It took 15 minutes to get back to the car.
