Ascent of Carris Hill on 2016-12-31Date: | Saturday, December 31, 2016 | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | Peak: | Carris Hill | Location: | USA-New Jersey | Elevation: | 1120 ft / 341 m |
Ascent Trip ReportSomehow completely missed a left turn from the Woods Rd not seeing the well blazed WCI Tr but still completed a planned circuit while crossing many trail junctions along the way with my first summit becoming the last climb and vice versa, used my micro-spikes to start hiking while finally climbing Assiniwikam Mtn without them meeting but a few instances of questionable snow dusted ground, an enjoyable outing to various outlooks and wonderful vistas. Wyanokie High Point 2.30 miles / 1:31 hours Carris Hill 3.19 / 2:22 Assiniwikam Mtn 5.17 / 4:00 Boy Scout Lake TH 6.46 / 4:54 PS: Wyanokie Circular Tr (WCI), Otter Hole (OH) & Hewitt-Butler Tr (HB) |
