Ascent of Badger Mountain on 2016-12-30
|Date:||Friday, December 30, 2016|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||4254 ft / 1296 m|
Ascent Trip ReportOn a whim en route home from a family trip to the Methow Valley, my brother and I followed Edward Earl's instructions to the Douglas Co. HP. Road is snowy but passable in a 4wd vehicle. We snowshoed from the gravel turnout and walked over the various hummocks in the area of the HP, taking pictures at the land survey marker sign. We did not visit the other "contenders" because based on other trip reports they are not near as high as the 4254' spot on Badger Mountain. This marks my 10th WA County HP.
