Ascent Trip Report

I rented snowshoes and went out with Lee Fryberger and Greg Kehrl to climb Mt. Arkansas, 13795 ft., from Climax. We took two vehicles, Lee's and mine. I wasn't satisfied with the performance of the Bronco going up to Eisenhower Tunnel on the way back. I also picked up a windshield ding. We started at 8:30 am; Greg and I made the summit at 12:30 pm. Lee tuned back at a difficult spot (pillbox) on the ridge. We got down at 3:00 pm.
