Ascent Trip ReportApproach: We sailed up from Manchester MA to Cape Chidley at the north tip of Labrador in our 40 foot wooden auxilary sailboat. We anchored in Nachvak Fiord - in the innermost part of Tallek Arm on way south. With a very early start, we made first ascent of peak 5232 with my wife Liz Loutrel, Mike and Virginia Adler, and Warren Hoffstra. We climbed a few additional peaks from Nachvak Fiord then sailed south to Bears Gut where we climbed an un-climbed peak which was ultimately named Mt. Goetze before continuing home. |
