Ascent Trip ReportFor fun Daniel and parked in downtown Camden and had Ben follow us in car. We ran down to the harbour and touched water at low tide and then jogged up through the streets of Camden to the TH then started thus our first ascent from sea level to summit. Beautiful views the day before (we drove to summit that day. THe climb started out nice but very steep grade and steep limestone slabs that were slick in places. Then fog rolled in and took our views away. Made a fast ascent. 28 minutes for the half mile trail portion.
Near the top of the mountain found a bunch of "art" sculpted figures mimicing cairns. In one spot there was like a "cairn graveyard" of art. We added our own for fun that were 10 rocks stacked high. Some fun boulders along the way and on the bald that were fun to scramble on. |
