Ascent Trip Report

Weather cleared a little and allowed me a quick hike before going to the office. Only 25 minutes from the airport and more importantly, another nice training hike on a peak with more than 1k prominence in the area. I hiked quickly up the wet trail in 47F weather with breezy wind chill. Took 25 minutes to do the summit so I was flying uphill at 4.5 miles per hour. Then I took more time completing the loop, headed around and down to the saddle and took the longview route to tag another peak. Not much of a view at least on day of low cloud cover. Only saw 3 people all day. Was down off both peaks and back to the car in one hour and 30 minutes and did about 6 miles in all so I averaged 3.2 mph ( I did jog down some of the way ). This hike did not require the Discover Pass.
