Ascent Trip ReportFrom Millard CG via Dawn Mine, Tom Sloan Tr. The beginning of the Tom Sloan Tr. is washed out, just follow the cairns up the creek bed until they disappear. Look up the slope to the right and you will see a vague use trail going steeply up, follow that up and you will soon see the original old trail. It is in fairly good shape and easy to follow except at a few switchbacks where it is a bit washed out. It is a bit overgrown with scratchy weeds, someone has recently trimmed most of the branches. The top end is is good shape, and it is clearly marked at Tom Sloan Saddle, from there follow the clear use trail to the summit. 10.7 miles RT.
