Ascent Trip Report

Parked at the turnout near the sign talking about the T&E unique species but then hiked on down to Fire Beach Road and followed it and other roads till I could see Lake Erie to make it my daily walk/TH. That way I could make it a 2 mile walk and register some steps on the pedometer. I ran up the man-man made embankment explored around and then headed over to the spots and found my way back to the car. Decent views from the large loop back to the lake. Odd that all this limestone and dolomite was surficial and minable here. Interesting area on a large peninsula on Lake Erie. Made for decent exploration hike for a CHP.
