Ascent Trip ReportThis is actually "Mt. Wolf East Knob". (The description in the AMC White Mountain Guidebook makes this clear.) It is on a spur trail off the AT, marked with a sign "OUTLOOK". I started after noon, so I met all the other day hikers on their return. I met a nice couple who told me the peak was a bushwhack -- they gave me a great description of what turned out to be the West Knob. I missed the very indistinct herd path to the West Knob and found the spur trail to the East Knob, which has a nice, but limited, view. I found the West Knob on the return. The AT (this section is part of the Kinsman Ridge Trail) was quite muddy, which was not a surprise given all the rain we have been having.
