Ascent Trip Report

After reading Mr.Waxman TR we decided to spend the night on Twin Peaks and use all the daylight for the ridge-out and back. Started on Twin Peaks summit at 7:15am and headed down the ridge. We followed some animal tracks about 50ft below the ridge on the eastside. Someone else had too because there was red caution tape, pink tape and the always 3 rock system. We got to the 20 ft wall by 8:30. This is where we stalled because of an uncooperative bear eating berries at the saddle below the wall.So we waited and watched him. 1 1/4 hours later he moseyed off down the mountainside. We continued on top of the ridge (lots of brush)now as the side were to steep,we went down the gully and up the scramble and hit the rocks at noon.Turned around and headed back trying to beat the sunset. We had placed a lot of 3 rocks but still lost the way a few times. We got back to camp at 6pm with just enough time to eat and sack the last of our food up a tree before dark. We slept in late the next day, getting up at 8am, We ate and broke camp and headed back down to the saddle and up towards Waterman, taking the Waterman Trl back to Buckhorn.

Sidenote: Both our hiking boots were ruined, the soles were sliced up and and chunks were missing from the sharp rocks on that ridge.
